Safety

Safety is the number one core value of SSi. The safety of our team members and the public is the driving force behind everything we do. In an ever-changing work environment with new challenges every day, SSi strives to prepare workers to maintain the highest level of safety in the work place. We are proud to have a full-time Safety Director who is a certified trainer for First Aid, CPR, and AED. As a condition of employment, all SSi field team members are required to be 10- hour OSHA certified and all supervisors are required to be 30-hour OSHA certified. Daily tool and equipment checks, weekly on-site safety meetings and job-site safety evaluations are just a few ways we demonstrate our commitment.

We take pride in setting aggressive goals for safety performance and believe that the goal of “ZERO incidents” is attainable.

Evidence of our commitment is seen in our Diamond Safety STEP Award we have received from the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for continued excellence in safety. It is also reflected in the attitudes of our team members.
